Hi, I too am a new Vios (1.3E) owner; just bought mine a couple of days ago. I'm really interested in upgrading my HU. Would you guys know what shops offer this particular one (discussed here) - the one made in China? Also, what would be the best way to install it w/o voiding warranty?

hey Mark! welcome to VUG!  yeah Ive seen it personally already.. ganda rin.  I'm sure marami jan, it would usually range from 22-25k.   you can try Gian Nieves, he had them before, this is his number 09228811206.

Installing it would void the warranty on the original stereo.  It should be easy to install. If its truly OEM, when you remove your original HU, it should have the same plugs.

@Mark, papadog - post an intro on our Ground Zero board, so VUG can give you a big welcome!

I found one on olx and here's the link: http://quezoncity.olx.com.ph/toyota-customized-panel-with-2-din-7-touch-screen-monitor-bluetooth-tv-tuner-dvd-play-iid-133298335

Her name is chrys and she has a pretty nice feedback on sulit and very cute voice..hehe

I called her yesterday, and ang offer niya is P18500 for the head unit without GPS and 25k with GPS, plus rear view camera then free installation na rin sha. Interesado sana ako bumili especially with one with the GPS, kaso pre-order pa sha at magddown ka ng 10k, pero my available daw shang unit but with no GPS.

Pero ang nirerecommend niya is without the GPS kasi daw hindi raw sha supported ng Garmin, and kailan pa raw maghanap ng ibang software or programs na issave sa sd card na supported para sa unit. Wala sha marecommend na software..well sa totoo lng di rin ako familiar sa mga ibang programs na ginagmet sa gps, but I try using one on Iphone called the "PapaGo!" apps, and it's pretty cool, navigating streets on manila plus voice navigation..ganun ba ang Garmin?

Tanong ko lang sana kung meron pa bang ibang software na compatible, with voice nav and good graphics...maybe i will try buying this unit with the GPS. Thanks!
