17's
because at that time I was so eager to change my stock 14" rims. I didn't even get the design I (at first) wanted for the reason that it didn't sit well with the overall look when I had it fitted. so I got my 17's not because of its design, but because hyper-silver was a safe bet for me. i'd say it looks good than my first choice which was matte silver. that was in terms of color. though later on I should say I'm pretty much happy with my rims in terms of its design, bumagay rin naman and I've heard people say maganda naman daw (not sure if they were just being kind though, haha.) but as to why 17's, it's the biggest I knew then that would fit with the Vios, though I really thought 18's should have no problem knowing we have a bigger wheel well than the 1st gen Vios'. but 17's I guess is farthest rim size that I would go for with the Vios. I'm actually considering 16's now but I'm pretty much happy with my 17's pa naman. why 16's, medyo mabilis lang kasi ako magpatakbo minsan that I would want to have a much "smoother" (if you may) ride with 205/50R16 compared to my existing 205/45R17, considering our road condition here.

18s
Its takes a lot of effort to run 18s, you gotta take care and really be meticulous about the roads you drive on.  The reward though is enough for me.  Everytime I look at my car, I'm astounded by the look.  The low profile tires, make it look so badass.  18's are good enough for everyday driving though, just not good for "I" dont care" driving Smiley

Rolling on 18s makes you a better driver. You become more careful and will tend do drive defensively. Having 18s made me a more responsible driver. When driving at night, my alertness is to the max.

this is what's in my mind everytime i drive:

me i took OEM 15s for riding comfort and OEM look, my point of view is OEM never gets old in terms of looks coz the design is original for the car hehehe even brandnew vios came out with those rims hehehe. safe riding also in potholes di nakakatakot baka mabengkong and riding fast is also worry free. OEM beauty for me never fades unlike running on latest design rims which tends to go to temptations to go upgrade. its also cheaper to maintain OEM tires dont cost that much hehehehe. disadvantage though is my car looks the same as the others hehehe kaya DROPPED it to have the difference and go euro hehehe just a thought! i also like the OEM 16s of vios S.  Cheesy

16s
Not by choice but by chance.  I just bought it from my ninong for only 15k then have it refurbished because of the scratches.  I want to shift to 17s or even 18s cause maliit tingnan sa malayo ang 16s.  But my problem with 17s and even 18s is that mabilis rin ako magpatakbo and mahirap mapunta sa lugar na di mo kabisado roads or mapothole at night.  That's the reason din I swapped my Tein with Jay's H&R for less worry free ride.  Glad that I don't have budget and I'm saving for housing loan payment.  With that I'm stuck with 16's.   I guess ok na rin kase sabi nila +2 lang ng oem mags ang ideal increase.

Speaking of rims' size... I'm planning to buy for my baby vios... i want to have the 16's because of comfort and I'm a bit conservative when it comes on my ride. Though my cousin is suggesting that I should get 17's....

go for 17s they are still comfortable if you use 205/45 tires Smiley they look good too.

I have 17's right now. I think they look awesome. But when I get BNIB rims, I'll be getting 16's. Best for performance and ride comfort/looks.
