Ahhh opo inclined hehehe.

Hi all,

i am new here. i am driving old vios gen1 with lower spring. about 1 finger gab for front tyres ad 1.5 finger gab for the rear tyres.
Now I found out that my current rear stock abs is spoil. so i suspect is due to my lower spring issue. (too low)
in future i plan to put in subwoofer in my trunk.

need advice.
option:
1. fix my current spoil abs to stock and change my current spring to tanabe or eibach (which spring better?)
2. direct change 4 abs togather with sport type abs, is there any possible that the spring and abs can support the weight of my subwoofer? what abs brand and model is better and suit old vios?

Hi Alex! Welcome to VUG bro

There are some fixes you can do for your dillema.
1. you can replace your rear absorber to gas/sport type so it will be a little stiffer and can ride better with lowering springs.
2. you can install a spring cushion (rubber inserts) on your rear springs to add support for the weight without adding additional height to the car.

The more affordable solution is the spring cushions. Because its just installed in between the lower coils of your springs, wont change the height, plus add support for heavier loads.  Try that first.  The best option though it to change your absorber to gas/sport type.

By the way, create a short introduction on our Groundzero board, so that our members can give you a big VUG welcome!  And we can upgrade your account for more boards to be visible.

^ plus, they'll give you better handling since the spring rates in the rear will increase.

@kaotic, bro, I found these in a local shop!  I'm going to have them installed this sunday. Maybe that would help my rear rubbing issue.  At least my car wont dip so low Cheesy  Do a short review after Smiley

Thanks for the advice.
but i am still struggle between the comfort and the sporty look of my ride.
how i going to balance up this 2? hmm.. make me a headache..

my current spring already included rubber on the lower coil of the spring. i still cannot fetch 2 people on the back and not able to support the weight of my sub woofer.

in my mind i plan to change the rear spoil abs back to stock abs. then change my current spring to Tanabe NF210.
i hope this spring can let my ride have better look and more comfort ride.
looks like my current spring only can give me about 1 finger gab between my car tyres, i hope with this new tanabe spring 2 finger can be slot in and will have better comfort ride experince. can this tanabe spring trustable??

Tanabe NF210 – 140 lbs/in front and 123.2 lbs / in rear
2.5kg/m front and 2.2 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.1’ F and 1.3’ R

Tanabe DF210 - 168 lbs/in front and 123.2 lbs/in rear
3.0kg/m front and 2.2 kg/m rear
DROP: 1.6’ F and 1.8’ R

Tanabe GF210 - 218 lbs/in front and 196 lbs/in rear
3.9 kg/m front and 3.5 kg/m rear

which is the balance between comfortable and sporty look??
what is the DROP mean?? is it the gab between tyres and the body??
