It's all good. Vortex generators are those "spikes" on the roof of my car. It's also on the Vios in the first picture in the bottom right corner. They come stock on the EVO IX MR's.

VG's redirect the airflow towards the spoiler. In my case, it does not do anything since my spoiler is purely for cosmetics. However, for cars that have functional spoilers, such as the EVO's, the air is then sliced through the wing, creating more downforce. More downforce in the rear on a fwd car like ours is a big no-no. You don't want that since it will induce more understeer, I believe.

I have them on my ride, which is dark gray. They still look awesome. If you'd like, they also come unpainted so you can paint match them to your color. I was too lazy, so I just got the glossy black. hahaha.
